Calendar used in the Realmz and Anarym continents

The Realmz continent and the continent of Anarym are the two largest land masses of the world called Lhari-Orin ("Life Orb"), named so by many of its inhabitants. Note however that this name can vary depending on the race and the region, as well as on the degree of civilization (for instance, many ogres on the Realmz continent have named the world "Realmz"). Lhari-Orin takes 360 days to complete its cycle around its yellow-class sun. Hence, a year is comprised of 360 days. Twelve months, each of 30 days, comprise a year. Finally, a week is constituted of 7 days (hence, often called a "sevenday" instead of a week).

As for Lhari-Orin's name, the names of the days, of the months and of the seasons can vary greatly from region to region. Herein, the nomenclature used in the Sword Lands and in Anarym is given:

Moons of Lhari-Orin

Astrane ("The Light of the Night"): cycle of 30 days between full moons;

Crimsane ("The Red One"): cycle of 20 days between full moons;

Shimmers ("The Small One"): cycle of 50 days between full moons.

 

Common festivals and holidays (often used in religions and cults as dates for major ceremonies or for rituals of observance)

Darknight (when all three moons are dark on the same night);

Fallfest's Gathering (on the first day of Falling);

Gathering of the Sisters (when all three moons are full on the same night);

Greening's Feastnight (on the first day of Greening);

Harvest's End (on the 30th day of the month of Fallfest);

Light Mourning (on a solar eclipse);

Seeding's Eve Festival (on the 5th day of the month of Springfest);

Sunhold Festival (on the first day of Sunhold);

Wintering's Feast (on the first day of Wintering);

New Year's Feast (on the 1st day of the month of Yearchange);

Yearend's Goodbyes (on the 30th day of the month of Yearend).
