Sword Lands Trilogy

They say history drives civilizations.

Where we are today is always consequent to where we were yesterday ... the day before ... and even before that.

Thus I bring you the history of the Sword Lands. But why bother, many of you may be thinking? While my reasons may be many, they essentially boil down to the following three points:

A) Much of the work presented herein was already done, since I needed to flesh out this history of the Sword Lands in order be more adept at establishing the different links and relationships between the varied places and peoples of those lands;

B) Strangely enough, a lot among you asked for it;

C) Knowing some of the history of the Sword Lands will be rather important for those who play Wrath of the Mind Lords, the third and last installment of the Sword Lands Trilogy <evil chuckle>.

Of course, the history outlined herein cannot be fully complete. Ancient times are usually frought with blanks in history records, and the Sword Lands are no exception to this. Likewise, regions and/or people with a tendency to keep to themselves supply but the rarest of tidbits of their own history; in fact, these are usually mentioned when they are themselves intersecting with the recorded histories available: this is the case of the lost Forest-Kingdom of Aurystan and the still-thriving Dwarven Halls, as well as of the continent of Anarym.

Before you peruse the material presented here, I would like to bring attention to four technical items:

Enjoy!
