- War of the Road: kings Nuram
II of Nur'Anaan and Naros II of Mountedge jointly declare
war on the forest-kingdom of Aurystan, for refusing to
allow the construction of a trade road passing through
the forest-kingdom and linking Nur'Anaan with Mountedge
(219-222);
- The ranger-hero Zaal Raack,
with the help of the Dwarven Halls, manages to bring
Nur'Anaan, Mountedge and Aurystan to settle into a
satisfactory compromise for all and make peace (222);
- The Friendship Road is
constructed, linking Mountedge, Aurystan and Nur'Anaan
(228);
- Construction of the Marble
Tower in Nur'Anaan as the meeting place of the
newly-instituted Friendship Council, a body comprised of
representatives from Mountedge, Aurystan, Nur'Anaan and
the Dwarven Halls for the peaceful resolution of

- The Obsidian Wars: the cult
of Graaz'z seeks to conquer the Sword Lands (301-342)
- Siege of Mountedge: Mountedge
besieged by goblin hordes commanded by priests of
Graaz'z; invaders eventually routed (301-302);
- King Varos I of Mountedge is
slain during the siege; vice-roy Janus Yar ascends the
Stone-Throne as Janus the First (302);
- End of the Nerosian dynasty
and advent of the Janurite dynasty in Mountedge (302);
- The Great Purge: the worship
of Graaz'z is outlawed in Mountedge, Aurystan and
Nur'Anaan; pockets of worship throughout the lands are
found and eradicated (309-315);
- Second Battle of Lantharond:
Under the unanimously approved leadership of the
adventurer-hero Raal Strongbow, an expeditionary army
comprised of contingents from Mountedge, Aurystan,
Nur'Anaan and the Dwarven Halls, marches out to
Lantharond and eradicates the Obsidian Theocracy;
restoration of the Council of Elders in Lantharond (340).

Mountedge conquered by Ptaraz the Mighty; fall of the

Year of the Iron Shield
- Dwarven Wars: King Ptaraz
declares war on the Dwarven Halls for their refusal to
pay trade tariffs decreed by him (432);
- Battle of the Western Pass:
reinforcements from Mountedge to join with the Iron
Kingdom's army at Galduur's Pass are decimated by Galduur
Ironshield and his warparty;
- Numerous small rebellions
arise throughout the Iron Kingdom in protest against
Ptaraz' iron-fisted rule; Ptaraz declares martial law
throughout the Iron Kingdom, allowing for indiscriminate,
excessive and brutal retaliatory measures against the
population;
- King Ptaraz is forced to sign
a truce with the Dwarven Halls;
- Galduur Ironshield and the
wandering adventurer-hero Zaak Longbow form the Champions
of the Shield, a large group of adventurers dedicated to
bring about the overthrow of Ptaraz and his violent rule.

Bandit Lord Kassandros is defeated and beheaded after
unsuccesfully attacking Mountedge (609);
- The huge brown dragon
Chlorapyroshyndragosuur destroys Mountedge; fall of
Mountedge (629);
- Tower of Sharranth built by
Galrya Runestone (the "Mad Witch") amidst the
ruins of Mountedge (642);
- Galrya Runestone mysteriously
disappears; Gorsan Blackmane chosen as the first Lord
Mayor; advent of the Lord Mayors of Sharranth (652);
- Jasper Flameheart and the
Company of the Flame track down and capture the notorious
Bandit Lord Blackjack, who had been terrorizing the
Heartlands for the last three years (661).

- A horse-riding barbarian
horde (the "War Dragoons"), lead by the Supreme
Dragoon Burmol, arrive from the west and sweep through
the Sword Lands (725-730);
- Siege of Sharranth: The War
Dragoons ransom Sharranth in exchange for leaving the
city unharmed (725);
- War of the Sorcerer-King: The
Warlock Varhuul and his mercenary army conquers
Sharranth; Varhuul institutes the Emerald-Throne and
crowns himself as the first Sorcerer-King; advent of the
Sorcerer-Kings of Sharranth (733).

Year of the Great Quake
- Sharranth severely damaged by
earthquake, but stands.
760
Year of the Darkening
- Eruption of the volcano in
the Volcanic Rockies; dark clouds of ash and dust cover
all of the Sword Lands throughout the year;
- Temperatures drop and crops
fail; plague and famine are rampant all over the lands;
- The huge white dragon
Icingbreath ransoms Sharranth in exchange for leaving the
city unharmed;
- Orcs, orgres and goblins from
the Khanark Rockies raid frequently throughout the Sword
Lands;
- Battle of the Harrow Woods:
Sorcerer-King Varhuul of Sharranth seeks to annex
Tanirith by force; the two armies meet in a savage battle
at the ruins of Aurystan, where mighty magics as well as
arms are used; battle ends in a stalemate, with the elven
ruins and surrounding forest obliterated; in latter
years, the forest and ancient site of the forest-kingdom
of Aurystan become known as the Harrow Woods; Sharranth
and Tanirith sign a truce;
- Banditry is on the rise once
more.

Sorcerer-King Varhuul of Sharranth; ascension of the
Royal Warlock Khan-Alghuul to the Emerald-Throne; Golden

- The Warlord and King of
Sharranth, Anthraxus Storm, begins his campaign to
conquer the Sword Lands;

Year of the Mind Lord
- The Overlords manage to free
the god-like Mentarchs ("Mind Lords");
