"You do not understand. He is the Prince of Undeath. Once he
has entered our world, he does not leave. Regardless of how
often you kill his avatar, even destroy it completely, he just reforms,
regenerates or reconstitutes himself. That is his true, dark power:
immunity against Death itself!"
- Agea Soulfire, high priestess of Lharishar, while conversing in a tavern.
"Well, maybe after the tenth or twentieth time that we've defeated
him, he'll become so sick and tired of us that he'll simply decide to
leave our world on his own?"
- Riel Moonsong, half-elven minstrel, in nervous response.
The prophecy of the seer Zoniax of Southgate is near fullfilment, despite your heroic efforts at destroying the avatar of Shades and twarting the dark plans of Domorash, Goddess of Might, Conquest and Evil Dragons, which she set about for Orlindor and the rest of the Middle Azure Coast. Indeed, the avatar of Domorash managed to escape from your grasp deep into the underearth, to the shadow dwarven city of Shorgranym, upon facing her with the clear and imminent threat of being destroyed like Shades - thanks to the disjunction stone, an ancient artifact from the ruined shandyrin city of Shakraan and capable of dissipating the divine essence of virtually any godly avatar. Hence, you know that Domorash is now doing whethever she has to do to bring about the final part of the prophecy of the Times of Darkness: the entrance into the world of Orcas, God of Horrors, Atrocities, Terror and Undeath.
So here you are back in Southgate and the North-Western Azure Coast, where it all began and where it will all end. Yet how can you prevail against the Dread Lord of Undeath, moreover with Domorash standing at his side - especially since the avatar of Orcas happens to be the only known godly avatar that is immune to the awesome powers of the disjunction stone?
Knowing that you won't be blessed this time around with the divine help of either Thryx, Hurme or Miellakar, you can't help but keep wondering:
Where in the Abyss will you find the means to destroy Orcas and put an end to Zoniax' prophecy once and for all?
