The Crystalmist Mountain Range
This massive mountain range is characterized by a multitude of low and high peaks, some being among the largest and tallest of all of Anarym. Features of the Crystalmist Mountain Range include the more-or-less central Forgotten Valley and three proeminent protruding eastward mountain ridges: the Mist Ridge (northernmost), the Giantstead Ridge (in the middle), and the Thundalar Ridge (southernmost). The Tharken Mountains further to the south were probably also a protruding ridge of the Crystalmist Mountain Range eons ago, before time and erosion eventually separated them.
The Crystalmist Mountain Range is considered as non-settled, wild and dangerous terrain, well known for being inhabited by multitudes of dogres, gnaths, goblins, orcs, ogres and, of course, giant trolls and giants (including frost giants, yetis and ice ogres in the areas of those highest peaks that are perpetually covered in snow and ice).
Of interest is the fact that at least one quetzaleny undercity is located deep under the Crystalmist Range, the city of Tlarostellistan, of which little -if nothing- is known. There are also rumors that one duergar undercity, named Shadowgrym, and one earth gnomish city, named Glitterstone, are located also under the range. Incidentally, there are no known dunedarym undercities reputed to be located under the range - whether this is a fact or not remains to be established.
The Crystalmist Mountain Range constitutes a part of the adventuring locale of the scenario Wrath of the Mind Lords.
