The Elven Forest-Kingdom of Lorill
The thick and dense Everspring Forest in the south-eastern portion of the Azure Coast was first settled by vassaleny elves some fifty-five hundred years ago (around -4225 A.R.). As their congregated population slowly grew, the elves chose to found the city of Lorill, and establish a forest-kingdom about the whole of the Everspring Forest, in -2736 A.R..
Throughout the ensuing millennia, the kingdom has survived invasions from humanoids (especially from the Scale Swamps), the frequent incursions (if not attacks) from quetzaleny elves of the city of Tlarostellistan (presumed to be located somewhere deep under the Crystalmist Mountain Range), the much later arrival of humans (in 821 A.R.) and a few wars. The isolationist tendencies of the vassalenies have served them quite well throughout these centuries, since Lorill has ever stood strong and pure, quite sheltered from what they percieve as the grotesqueries of the rest of the continent. On the other hand, such isolationism results in Lorill having little political and cultural influence, if any, in the Azure Coast and immediate surrounding areas. To this day (1396 A.R.), the borders of Lorill remain close, although the elves trade somewhat actively with their neighbors (such as Seacrest). The current monarch of Lorill is King Olorin Starsong (ruling since 437 A.R.), of the dynastic vassaleny house of Asturiak.
The Kingdom of Lorill constitutes a part of the adventuring locale in the scenario Wrath of the Mind Lords.
