The Greater Seacrest Area

The fertile grasslands south and east of the Everspring Forest (and of the elven kingdom of Lorill), and which constitute what is known as the Greater Seacrest area and the southern portion of the Azure Coast, were settled relatively late by humans (821 A.R.). It would be some thirty years later that the first and foremost city of this area, Seacrest, would be founded (853 A.R.). Although not considered as a military or political power of the Azure Coast (in sharp contrast to Southgate, for example), Seacrest of today (1396 A.R.) is nonetheless a very prosperous and busy port-city, largely due to its proximity to old southern kingdoms such as Kalimshyr, Alymshanyram or Sharunaman, and acting as a major transition/departure point for all sea trading between these kingdoms and the rest of the Azure Coast. Since its founding, Seacrest has been ruled by a hereditary monarchy. The current monarch is Omnar I, of the Haram dynasty.

Other cities and towns of note of the Greater Seacrest area are:

All of these communities are currently at peace with each other, as well with Seacrest itself and the isolationist kingdom of Lorill. To this effect, it is noteworthy that the worship of good (e.g. Agrah, Lharishar, Dianchuur, Tyr, Ukkor, etc.), lawful (e.g. Codan, Odan, etc.) and neutral (e.g. Lore, Erond, Danuur, Hurme, Woralduur, etc.) powers are predominant in the whole of the Greater Seacrest area.

Lastly, another feature of the Greater Seacrest area are the crumbling ruins that lie on the small island in the middle of the Everspring Lake. Known today as Grag Keep, these ruins used to be a trading post for the lost dwarven undercity Duhelarholme. Founded some five thousand years ago (c.a. -3604 A.R.) under the Crystalmist Range, this large dwarven city fell prey to some unkown disaster around 9 A.R., the whole of its population having been slaughtered and/or dispersed. It is said that a secret entrance to Duhelarholme can be found somewhere beneath the ruins of Grag Keep.

The Greater Seacrest area constitutes a part of the adventuring locale in the scenario Wrath of the Mind Lords.
