The Wolvesden Woodlands
Constituting the north-western end of the Azure Coast, along with the grasslands west of the Great River, the southern area of the thick and dense Wolvesden Woodlands were first settled by valoreny elves some eight thousand years ago (around -6729 A.R.). Since the Year of the Singing Union (-4512 A.R.), all valoreny clans are under the protection of the kingdom of Oaklarand and swear fealty to its crown.
Although the whole of the Wolvesden Woodlands are considered part of the kingdom of Oaklarand, the northern portion is rarely patrolled by the elves to this day (1396 A.R.) and has ever remained essentially unsettled by them. To this effect, the elves even recently allowed humans to settle permanently in this area to found the small farming community of Woodsgrove (in 1337 A.R.), although with strict conditions regarding the growth of this town and restrictions with regards to woodcutting. Furthermore, Woodsgrove is placed under the protection and influence of Oaklarand, instead of that of Southgate. Woodsgrove is ruled by a Mayor that is elected every eight years. The current mayor is Lady Allanys Songweaver, a retired minstrel-adventurer. Lastly, it is noteworthy that the worship of good (e.g. Agrah, Lharishar, Dianchuur, etc.), lawful (e.g. Codan, Odan, etc.) and neutral (e.g. Lugath, Chloros, Hurme, etc.) powers are predominant in Woodsgrove.
The Wolvesden Woodlands constitute a part of the adventuring locale in the scenarios Dead of Night and Realm of Death.
